$70 Million Project in Downtown Niagara Falls for New 200 Room Luxury Hotel and Daredevil Waterpark

May 01, 2017

Niagara Falls, N.Y. – American Niagara Hospitality (ANH) announced plans at the Niagara Falls City Council for a game changing development located at Niagara’s premier location at Old Falls Street and Seneca Niagara Resort & Casino. ANH plans call for a $50 million, 200 room upscale all-suite hotel along with a $20 million Daredevil themed Waterpark. While the existing Niagara Falls, NY inventory supply of mid-market hotel products currently supports the tourism season through June, July and August, it does not keep pace in the off-season months, which is necessary in order for this market to continue to grow. This new development project would be able to support the marketplace specifically during the time the market needs the most help, between the months of September and May. This luxury hotel combined with the waterpark will be the only one of its kind in the marketplace and will be an attraction in and of itself for all demographics visiting Niagara Falls, NY.

The new hotel will be located immediately across from the Seneca Niagara Resort & Casino, at the gateway for the USA Old Falls Street district and the state owned Conference Center, and will be built on top of the existing Sheraton At The Falls location. The hotel will feature 200 oversized suites and ANH is in negotiations with a recognized musically themed hotel brand. The amenities include a rooftop bar, an infinity pool overlooking the Seneca Niagara Resort & Casino, a celebrity restaurant and bar, executive meeting space and a state-of-the-art athletic and fitness club. The premium suites will be themed and energetic and will also feature the hotel industry’s exclusive ultra pampering “spa suites.”

The new 40,000 sq. ft. Daredevil Waterpark will feature 12 slides, including the thrilling featured drop-slide called “Devil’s Hole.” This ultra thrill drop-slide launches riders in total darkness via the Aqua-drop launch capsule, where the floor drops out plunging guests through 250 ft. of zero gravity vertical drop as they are finally dropped into the Devil Hole Bowl. Amenities also include “Devil Falls,” a series of large interactive kids play structures featuring a 1,000 gallon tipping bucket and adventure course.

Guests can also enjoy exclusive use of “The Reef Beach Club,” the oasis area of the waterpark featuring a 3,000 gallon shark tank, tropical salt water lagoon fully stocked with exotic fish, two adult hot tubs, change-rooms and food & beverage, provided by the Rainforest Cafe.

ANH looks forward to the opportunity to sit down and continue to negotiate the $70 million development that will create 165 full-time jobs, generate $6.5 million in annual taxes and create 108,000 additional room nights with the new build and the existing Sheraton property into the much needed tourism market.
